Meta J. Mereday, VEDI Founder, was recently honored by the Long Island Business News for community outreach and service to our nation's veterans.  Meta received the honor at a special ceremony hosted by the business publication held as the Cresthollow Country Club for her innovative efforts to generate contracting opportunities for veterans to help them to increase their capacity to hire other veterans.  In addition to creating contracting opportunities, VEDI also advocates for state based programs that increase access and training for veteran entrepreneurs and ease licensing restrictions.  "Our veterans continue to be underserved when they return home from service and it is time for all of us to step from behind the waving flags and really make a long term commitment to build up our domestic front to increase veteran businesses and decrease veteran homelessness."  Meta, who is a business development expert and veteran advocate, was among 50 honorees who were recognized at the gala event by Long Island's leading business publication.r
